34th Annual Fiesta del Sol in Solana Beach


The 34th Annual Fiesta del Sol in Solana Beach is free next weekend from 9am to 9pm June 2-3 (Saturday/Sunday) at Fletcher Cove between So. Sierra Avenue and Acacia Avenue. For those of you that take the Coaster/Amtrack or bike to this event the first 150 get a free goody bag.

There will be tons of music starting with English Beat on Saturday and on Sunday the band Donavon Frankenreiter. Lots of rides and of course a million ways to spend your money at the booths featuring arts/crafts and lots of food. If you get to warm just head down to the ocean for a quick dip and then head back to join in the fun. For additional information go to

RB Alive Expo

Sunday, June 3rd the 24th Annual RB Alive Expo will be held from 10am to 4pm at Rancho Bernardo Center Drive & between Loma Drive and Bernardo Plaza. 55K plus people are expected to attend. What makes this event different from all the Crafts, Music and Rides events? There will be historical re-enactments along with a classic car show. The 150th Valley Center Western Days May 25 -26

This weekend starting on Friday night  with the Stampede Rodeo 7pm  at at Valley Center Community Hall at 28246 Lilac Road on May 25th is the 150th Valley Center Western Days. Saturday at 10am  to noon will be the Parade along Valley Center Road from Cole Grand Road to Old Road. Festivities  continue until 11pm at the Valley Center Community Hall. Look forward to the “Mayor’s Race” 5pm to 8pm  on Friday and watch the judging of the mustache contest. For additional information go to
